About LMM

Louisville Mission Math

Louisville Mission Math (LMM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit bridging the STEM education gap for underrepresented youth. Through hands-on programs and mentorship, we give students the skills and confidence to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Our approach

Three commitments guide every program.

To Inspire.

To Inspire.

We bring the excitement of STEM to students across Louisville, sparking curiosity and opening doors to future opportunities.

To Support.

To Support.

We build support systems that make learning enjoyable, not a challenge, so students thrive in and out of the classroom.

To Change.

To Change.

We're making STEM accessible to everyone, regardless of background or circumstance.

What we do

Programs built around access, not prestige.

Free workshops, competitions, and mentorship, tailored to different learning levels and designed to make STEM accessible and hands-on.

Hands-On STEM Workshops

Interactive lessons in math, physics, engineering, and coding, built around real-world experiments instead of lectures.

School Partnerships & Outreach

We work directly with local schools and educators to bring STEM programming into classrooms and after-school clubs.

Experiential Learning Challenges

Students tackle real STEM problems in hands-on projects that build creativity and critical thinking.

How we do it

Built on experiential learning.

We work closely with educators, community leaders, and industry professionals so curiosity turns into long-term success.

No Cost to Participants

Every program is free, so a family's finances never decide who gets access to STEM.

Built for Lifelong Learning

Flexible programs help students find their strengths and passions within STEM, not just pass a test.

A Diverse STEM Pipeline

We focus outreach on students from underrepresented backgrounds to make STEM more inclusive.
